A Faculty at the College of Engineering, Dr. Atimad Daoud Juma, in collaboration with researchers from Anbar University, published a scientific paper entitled (Optimal Hydro-Thermal Characteristics of the Porous Annular Elliptic Pipe Using Response Surface Method) at the British journal: International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer 128 (2021).

The study aimed at assessing the effects of using saturated porous media (PM) to improve convective heat transfer within concentrated, oval-shaped pipes using pure water as a cooling fluid. Research has included the treatment of the ability solutions to improve thermal characteristics of the porous annular and reduce the impact of the law of thermodynamics II using response surface methodology technology.
